Yoga Plus

This popular Makati yoga center offers 45 classes a week.  You can book through the Yoga+ app which links to your calendar, or sign up through their website. We love the convenience of being able to filter the class schedules by time, teacher or type of yoga. If you’re new to yoga, check out the Fundamentals, Jivakumti  or Yin classes. Looking for something new? They have Hot Yoga, Hot Core, Flow Yoga,  and a Meditation class to complement your physical asana practice. Yoga Plus also offers PreNatal Yoga, Yoga Teacher Training, and private classes.

Yoga Plus has two big yoga rooms, and provides mats so you only have to bring yourself It’s open 6am to 11pm on weekdays, and 8am to 1pm on weekends and holidays.  Members can also go to other Yoga Plus branches in Ortigas and BGC. You can also sign up for a First-Timer Trial Membership: Unlimited Yoga for either 2 weeks (P1,499) and 1 month (P3,399). Yoga Plus also gives student and senior citizen discounts.

Bliss Yoga

Just a few minutes’walk from Greenbelt, Bliss Yoga makes it really convenient to squeeze in a yoga class before or after work. Pick from over 50 classes a week, including Gentle, Vinyasa, Bhakti, Hot, Power, Kivamukti, Yin and Spiritual.  The Early Bird Unlimited Monthly Membership is a good deal: join any class before 12 pm on Monday to Friday and any weekend classes for just P3,500.  If time is a problem, pay P4,500 for unlimited monthly membership, or just drop in for P500 a session. You can also take the trial package (P1,000 for 7 consecutive days).

Bliss Yoga uses heated rooms, so bring a towel so you don’t slip on the mat while you do the yoga poses. It also offers workshops for yoga enthusiasts who want to deepen the practice. This is one of the most popular Makati yoga centers. The studio is spacious, and the beautiful interiors make you feel like you walked into a luxe spa.

One of the most established yoga centers in the Philippines, Yoga Manila has been around for 10 years. It offers Asthanga, Ashtanga Mysore, Flow, and even yoga for teens and kids with special needs.

Drop-in rates are P500 a class, or you can get a 5-class card for P2000 or a 10-class card for P4,000. Regulars can get a 20-class card for P7,000.  Aside from its Makati yoga branch, Yoga Manila also has an Ortigas Studio in Edsa Shangri-la’s Chi Spa and an Alabang studio.

Surya Fitness Yoga

Surya offers both yoga and pilates classes. Beginners can ease into the yoga practice with basic yoga, which teaches correct poses and safely improves body awareness and flexibility. You can also take Hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga, and beginner’s ashtanga vinyasa classes. All focus on breathing, mindfulness and relaxation. If you want a calorie burn, go for the Stretch & Sculpt pilates and HIIT pilates classes.

You can drop in for P450 per class, or take unlimited passes for 1 week (P1,500), a month (P4,000) or 6 months (P21,000). They also have 10 class and 20 class packages, corporate rates, and morning unlimited passes.
